It was so nice to have Derek home for more than 1 1/2 days this past weekend. We took the opportunity to do as much as we could as a family, including going to the zoo. We procrastinated, but finally made it there just in time to see all the big animals.

My favorite animal-giraffe in the background. It was dinner time for them, so it was waiting at it's door to go eat.
It was way hot that day so Gavin wasn't too amused. I'm glad we got to go though. I'm pretty sure I had more fun than both the boys. Derek got to push the stroller around with a flat tire. lol. Next time, we'll see all the animals and visit the splash park!Can't wait!

Rylie's been asking to go to the zoo & we're gonna be in Waco Sun & supposed to take her but there's a chance of rain =/ Looks like yall had a fun family outting!
