Well, this mommy has had tons going on including a sick baby, wedding showers, baby showers, birthday parties and a couple meltdowns thrown in there.(me, not the baby) I read some of my other blogger friend's blogs and there's a lot of talk about shutting down their blog. I'm pretty sure I could do the same, but I hardly write anymore as it is. And I doubt any of you would miss my blog. BUT, I personally like to look back on this from time to time and love showing it to Derek as well.
So you're stuck with me.....on my rare occasional blog of the month.
And who could resist wanting to see my adorable son's pictures?
Please, don't answer that. I realize I've become one of "those" people who won't shut it about their super duper awesome child genious! lol. Sorry.
Lucky for you, we're going on our first family trip this weekend AND Derek and I are planning a weekend in San Antonio for just the two of us, so I'll actually have something other than babies to write about for soon!
Until then....
My poor little guy had a double ear infection last week. Tuesday night he woke up with 102.3 fever that would not budge, so off we went to the dr. He always makes me look like I'm lying when we get there. He loves playing on the paper on the table, and laughing at the dr & flirting. I can't help I have a happy baby, even when he's sick.
See, the truth is...we've worked out this system. He plays sick. We go to the doctor. They prescribe tylenol and we take off work for the next couple days to get better and play alllll day! Love it!
Guess who sits up all the time now?? I can't wait to be able to walk a few steps away for more than a couple minutes though. When he sees me walk back away from him, all balance is lost and to the floor his head goes! lol.
So the quirky stages have started. If I'm in front of Gavin's face while he is watching The Backyardigans or Wonder pets, he does everything he can to look around me to see the t.v. This may be a major problem in a few years but right now it's hilarious!
Since I have a heavy kid, I dread grocery trips or quick errands to the store. His car seat is way too heavy to lug all the way inside to the store to the awaiting baskets. And I can't just push his umbrella stroller around when I have to get groceries. So, I finally went ahead and tried out his grocery cart cover. Look at my big boy! It was pretty funny though b/c he was so into chewing on his straps that he would slowly lean over and end up basically laying down. Hey, it's better than a funssy baby screaming in a car seat! He hates that thing!!

You better NOT go anywhere! I cannot believe how big he is getting!!!!!
Look how big he is now! Sitting up all by himself! I hope he feels better soon. I'm glad you're not stopping your blog!
I would miss you if you went away, and I LOVE looking at pics of Gavin! I can't believe he is already sitting up! I hope he's feeling better, and I hope y'all have a blast on your family trip this weekend. Where are you going?
Please don't leave blogger world! Poor Gavin - hope he feels better. When baby's sick, no one is happy (or rested!). I love your cart cover. Mine doesn't have straps...I can't wait to be able to use it. I hate using the carseat in the buggy!

I would SOOO miss you if you left, I feel like this blog world (and facebook) is the only thing keeping me somewhat updated with you until I see you again...I love all the pics, he is quite a handsome little boy...and that video of him, OMG...adorable to say the least! I love y'all lots!
Sorry I missed this post! So cool that G's sitting up already. Livvie sorta does but not really. She's such a chunker!
I can understand why some would want to shut down their blogs. I think we all get there from time to time. Glad you're still gonna keep on going! Blogging is so fun!
