This weekend was our first little road trip with Gavin and it went pretty well!
He was perfect for us the whole time. And OF COURSE this mommy was the one holding him the whole time, so I hardly got ANY pictures on my camera. I know there's a lot of good ones of us floating around though b/c little Gavin was a huge hit w/all the people at the wedding we went to.
One of Derek's best friends, Cody(not the one I mention a lot) got married in Fredericksburg and Derek was in the wedding. He was the last of the group of Derek's friends to get married, so it was extra special. Cody & Charla are so cute and country, and Fredericksburg was perfect. They actually married in the OLD abandoned country church in the hills where he was baptized as a baby and his grandpa used to preach, and where his grandparents were married. There was even an old wood burning stove in the center of the church.
I wish I had pictures, but I was busy w/Gavin.
Before the wedding, we hung out w/ all the friends that went and it was very relaxing the whole weekend. We even had time to spend the day in Fredericksburg and shop around. I'm not much of an antique shopper and that's what the town is known for, but it was nice to look! And after the wedding we went to our friend's cabin outside of town and enjoyed the night around a fire and watched the elk and deer just walk around freely in the field. It was so neat!
Gavin, wide awake after not really sleeping the 1st night.
I'm not sure what this wheel was all about but Derek and I both took a pic in front of it.
Gavin was not amused.
Here's the guys waiting outside of one of the shops that the ladies went into.
At the church. Notice we are in the back row. I did have to make a quick escape about halfway through the wedding. Not b/c he cried but b/c he was talking.

SO fun!!!! Sounds like such a cute wedding!!!!! Love the pics :)
How sweet that your friends got married in a church that holds such sweet memories. I laughed when you said you'd be wearing that shirt again - I will purposely not pics of myself on my blog b/c I wear the same things so much!! Glad it's not just me!
Love all the pics, and the shirt :) Y'all have to be the cutest little family ever!
Love ya!
LOL about wearing the same shirt again! I have a teal top I wore to that wedding I went to a few weeks ago and wish I had a reason to wear it again. I felt great in it!
That is just amazing that your hubs and his friend look so much alike!
Your trip sounded like fun and my challenge to you next time is to get more pics of you. I'm so bad now that I just hand the camera to my hubs and say "take my picture!" It's the only way to do it otherwise they'll never be proof that I existed later on in life!
I saw these pics on your fb awhile back & forgot to comment. It's so funny your husband's friends with cody & Kurt I knew in grade school! lol I swear I found a picture of all of us & then I dont know where I put it. I'll have to dig that up now!
