Well, we had a pretty good 4th of July. I hope everyone else did! We worked on filling up our new pool all day on Friday. It had to be completely drained twice so our yard was super flooded! If you get a pool, make sure and follow instructions! Don't be stubborn like my husband!! I got sunburnt from being outside all day, so for the 4th, I wasn't a whole lot of fun when we were out in the sun. We went to the lake b/c Derek got his boat working, and hung out with our friends all day then watched the fireworks from the boat at night.
Yesterday, Derek's little sister, Alissa, moved in with us. She's starting college soon, so it's a big transition for everyone to have an 18 yr old in the house. But it's for the best and easier for everyone. We live like 10 min from the college here. I'm kind of playing mom even though she's 18. She needs some direction right now and I'm happy to give it to her.
I probably won't be blogging as much for the next couple of months b/c Derek and I are taking a 2 month break from "trying" so I'm sure you all will not want to hear about my social activities for the next couple months. But, I will blog if it's interesting. Hope you all have a great week!
