I lead a pretty uneventfull life, but absolutely enjoy the relaxation and appreciation in the small things that comes with that.
Friday, after work, Derek & i went to his little sister's softball game. I always have fun watching her play b/c she's really good! And I'm not just saying that. Then we took the boat to the lake to "bait the lines" and stopped by some friends' houseboat. We spend so much time at the lake when it's warm. We're probably there more than we are at home sometimes. As we were heading into the middle of the water, it was dark and boom! a HUGE lighting strike covered the entire sky. Needless to say, we went back. We weren't about to get stuck by lightning b/c we wanted to bait some silly trout lines.
So, Saturday, we got up early and went to the lake to try again. It was a success. Afterwards, we came home and did yard work all day. I got so sunburnt! That's what I get for being a red-head and not wearing sunblock.
For Mother's Day, Derek had to leave town so I spent the day at my parents. None of my siblings were in town so it was just me and my parents. We didn't do anything important or exciting but it was really nice to have that time together. I explained to her about my infertility. Although she's my mother, I don't tell her every detail of my life. She has so much on her plate right now and I didn't want her to worry. But I felt like it was finally the time to be honest with her and I feel a lot better!
I just read that Tiffany's mom came out of surgery with a success. Please keep sending prayers her way b/c she still needs the strength and support.
XOXO

Love ya lots!
You don't realize how lucky you are to have Mom & Dad close by until you move hundreds of miles away! Ha. Don't give up trying girl. After 2 1/2 of trying, I just found out last week we're expecting. I'm still in shock & it doesn't seem real. Hopefully everything will go smooth!
So glad you were able to be open to your mom. Congrats on that! (((HUGS)))
