Oh MAN! I am about SICK and TIRED of cold weather. Here in Texas, it just doesn't get this cold. It's unheard of! Right now, it is 18 degrees with a wind chill of 1. Lovely. And when I said SICK and tired, I really meant it. I am still sick. Going on about a month and a half now of being down with an illness back to back. As soon as I got over my sinus infection last week, the front blew in and I got a cold. I'm currently on a Vitamin C overload regimen. I'm ready to be healthy again. Poor Gavin can't catch a break either. I had to take him to the Dr. on Monday b/c his ear infection never cleared up and he too has a cold.
So, since Monday, we stayed holed up in the house. Stayed in our jammies & cuddled as much as possible. Not going anywhere except a quick trip to the UPS store up the road. We weren't the only ones who stayed home. They closed schools down in Central TX b/c of the ice on the roads. My poor hubby was stuck in OK until today. But he has to go to AR before he makes his way home. Praying he makes it safely after all the driving in bad weather.
I'm back to the grind today though. I couldn't get out of work any more. My poor baby didn't want me to leave him at daycare for the first time ever. It was so sad to leave. He got attached to his Mama :( I'm sure he'll be fine though. He was going stir crazy and driving me crazy as well j/k I really enjoyed our time together.
Oh and did I mention we are supposed to get snow today and tomorrow? OVER IT! I'm moving to Florida. not really, but I wish.
Anyways, who's ready for the Super Bowl? I was listening to The Morning Mashup and they were asking listeners what they liked most about the super bowl. I'll admit, I LOVE me some NFL. But, if it isn't a favorite team of mine (which this year I'm iffy about the teams)then you'll catch me talking with my friends or discussing my new recipe. lol. I imagine this year alone, I'll be pretty tied up with Gavin to be able to watch half the game. Oh yea, I almost forgot. Our local college's dance team is dancing at half time. They are National Champs and rep'n Waco! lol. Also my Mom works there and my friend's mom is the dance instructor, so I had to brag. My sister & her kids live in Dallas and they said that the town has basically already shut down in preparation for the Super Bowl. Not to mention they are snowed in. Those fans better be glad the Cowboys Stadium is temp controlled!
On a sad note, my cousin's wife Loretta passed away this morning. This past weekend, she went into cardiac arrest and was without oxygen for so long that she went brain dead. After loads of tears and family being called in and prepairing to pull the plug, her husband (my cousin) finally made the call on Tuesday after everyone said their goodbyes. Unfortunately, she began breathing on her own which made things extremely difficult for everyone involved. She had no brain activity & was losing function in her organs. Luckily, her pain finally ended this morning at 3:48 am. Please lift my cousin and their family up during this hard time. They could really use it. I wasn't very close to Loretta, but have known her since they married years ago. Although she was a very ill person, this is still hard on our entire family.

Praying for your family! Hope you and Gavin feel better. Let's hope the groundhog was right and we can get spring early!! I'm so ready, too. Tired of cold and ice!
Praying for your cousin and your whole family, I am so sorry to hear about that!!!
By the way, what in the world do you mean by being 'iffy' about these teams in the superbowl...I know you MEANT to say that you are hoping the Steelers win b/c if they don't it will be a really sad house in the Pifer House!! :)
I hate that you are STILL sick, I am way over this cold weather too, as I sit here in IL there is over 3 feet of snow and some sections it's up to your waist if not higher, it's beautiful and fun to walk in, but I'm over it! I am ready for spring! Not cut out for this every day!!
