Little Bit of Everything

I think I am the only blogger who's holdays are more stressful than relaxing. It's Wednesday and for the first time I'm able to sit down and read all the Thanksgiving blogs and all the joy everyone had. Don't get me wrong, it was exciting to have Gavin's First Thanksgiving. But, it was definitely NO break for me! lol.

It was nice though and always fun to see family and reflect on everything we are thankful for. I especially am thankful for the wonderful husband and son I've been blessed with!

OK, the rest of this blog is kind of mixed up...Sorry.

I got a new app for my iphone that Gavin LOVES. It's called Phony Phone and looks like the keypad of a regular phone. He also really enjoys the BabyPiano Lite.If you have an iphone-you should get these.

We've had some more "Firsts" over the last few days. Gavin started crawling last week. I tried everything to upload the video I had on my phone of him doing it for the first time, but nothing worked. So I didn't post about it. It's just he cutest thing EVER!

He also decided he can pull up on things already, which scares me. I immediately went into "Safety mode" and put pillows everywhere. lol.

Gavin got his first tooth the day before Thanksgiving AND said his first words."Ki-Kat" which means Kitty Cat. And Da-Da! Of couuuuurrrsee he says Da-Da even though I've been trying to get him to say MaMa all this time!

On Turkey Day, we went to both families' to eat and gavin was a perfect angel. He was such a little flirt for everyone and didn't fuss one bit.

He really likes to cuddle w/my oldest sis Sara. She's like the "nap-time whisperer" and can always get him down.



I never get a lot of pictures when we're doing family stuff b/c it's just so busy, but I managed to get pictures of two of my nephews, Carson and Connor.

Derek and Gavin got to have guy time on Friday while I went Black Friday Shopping w/my sisters. I didn't get everything, but the deals just weren't great this year. I spent the bulk of my $ at Academy b/c of all the men to shop for this year.


I still have about 4 more people to buy for then I'm DONE, so getting up early was well worth it.

We also managed to put up the tree this weekend! I have to admit though, I wasn't feeling it. I think I'm sick of the same ornaments even though they each mean something. I'm just worn out on the blue/silver/snowmen theme. We've had it since we moved in together like 5 1/2 yrs ago.

Sunday, we went to a couples shower for our friends, Amber & Derrick. She's due on the 2nd and their friends threw a last minute shower.

We are so matchy-matchy and I swear it wasn't planned. LOL!

Gavin started his new daycare yesterday and I forgot to put the lady's phone number in my phone and wasn't able to call all day to check on him. But when I picked him up, he was happy as ever! So releived things are working out, so far. She did mess up his schedule w/her own feeding schedule with him. If it throws our own schedule off, I'll be having a little chit-chat with her about it :)

OK-after 2 days of trying to upload the video of him crawling, it was taking too long. I give up. I guess Derek and I are t he only ones who can enjoy the video for now :)
