I never got around to doing Gavin's 6 month post. We went to the Dr. on Tuesday and since then , I've been swamped at work.
Gavin weighed in at a whopping 20 lbs and was 27 1/2 in long! He's still in the 90 %. He's eating level two baby foods. Sitting up, trying to crawl & talk and just growing up before my eyes!
The last couple of weeks were difficult. I thought he had his ear infection again b/c he just was not sleeping, but the dr. assured me that he's fine. Probably teething. These darn teeth just won't come in! He's been teething forever!!
Oh and his babysitter's kids both got stomach viruses this week so I haven't been able to take him to daycare. Thank GOD for grandparents. Derek's grandparents live next door to where I work and it's perfect. Not to mention he loves it there!
We've been missing Daddy though! He's been in KS, OK, AR, and now in Shreveport, LA for what will be 2 weeks tomorrow. Lucky for me though, I've caught up on sleep the last couple nights b/c my sweet boy has finally gone back to sleeping again! I think giving him motrin for his fever from the shots got him back on track!
Lately, I've woken up to Gavin talking in his crib. Yesterday he was on his knees in the dog pose w/his butt in the air and he was reacheing under his bumper. I don't know what he was looking for but he was determined. This morning, I walked in and he was just hanging out looking at his mobile in the dark talking to it. Check out his hands behind his head. This is the first time he's done this. So funny!
After his appointment Tuesday, I finally had a little bit of time to go get him a much needed big boy carseat. He loves it and I installed it all by myself! lol. This is the only pic I got before dropping him at his Granny's this morning. He was waking up from a little nap.
And lastly I HAD to post this cute picture I took. As you can tell, these are those old school army pajamas. I found them at a local resale store and had to have them. They're actually a little baggy so they bunch up but he'll grow into them. I just can't get over how funny they are with the button up butt! lol.
I hope everyone has a good weekend. I really wanted to go to the pumpkin patch this weekend but the forcast calls for rain so we'll see.

Happy 6 months! You will have to let me know how you like the carseat because we will have to buy one before long
Don't you wish time would just slow down! Glad you're gettting to sleep through the night - doesn't it just make the days so much better?! Love the army pj's!
OMG how cute he is laying with his arms under his head, and I LOVE those PJ's!!!!
I can't believe he is already 6 months, time flies...makes me sad that I haven't gotten much Gavin time at all in these months, lifes been crazy!
