Mommy Moment of the week

I'm sure many of you can think of a million things you did as a new mom and look back on and say "Duh!" Well, I'm getting my fair share of these silly moments. Some are funny, some are sad & some are just aweful. Let me share with you my mommy moment of the week that I had last night and the night before...

I've been getting a pretty small amount of sleep lately. Mostly due to my busy schedule and over doing myself. But, also due to Gavin adjusting to going to work and then back home every day & not sleeping well at night. I'm running on my backup batteries right now and they must be the generic brand b/c they keep going out!

So, I feed Gavin before bedtime and I make sure & check the clock to see that if he wakes up in 3 hrs from that time, I can feed him. But, if he decides to wake up much sooner, then I know to hold off so he doesn't get over fed. He is currently sleeping in his bassinet next to my bed so I can hear him the second he squirmes. Twice now, he has woken up and I've looked across my room at the alarm clock-in a zombie like daze- and seen a certain time. The time I see is always like maybe an hour since he has fallen asleep. Which means I just lay there and try to get him to go back to sleep until he wakes up a couple hrs later to eat. This never works you know; Trying to get him to sleep. For some reason, he wiggled and squirms till I pick him up. And after a good 30-45 minutes of him working up his fussiness, I realize I saw the clock wrong! It IS time for him to eat!! OMG, I've been making my poor baby starve all this time! Bad Mommy!

That my friends is what lack of sleep will do to ya!

Hopefully I can find time to share many more of these embarassing moments! Unless I forget how to type from lack of sleep :)

Do not feel bad! One night this week I fell asleep nursing and was literally sitting up asleep holding Livvie for hours!!! When I woke up, I immediately put her in her crib only to have her wiggle and start crying to eat again. I seriously didn't even remember finishing her last feeding and was so confused that it was time to eat again! :)

Hope you can get some rest this weekend!
