Love At First Sight

I have been one Busy Lady lately! I'm super busy today at work, but am waiting on a phone call so I'm taking this opportunity to write a blog!

Let's see what's been going on...

Last week I was exceptionally exhausted, but Derek came in and took some slack off of my workload for me. Thursday night Gavin peed our bed, himself & daddy then puked in his own bed,so it made for a long night. On Friday I gathered enough energy to go have a much needed dinner w/our friends the Richardson's & Oltmann's. It is always so good to see them. Unfortunately for Derek, I was tired and cranky so I crashed as soon as we got home & didn't even say a word to him!

He's so good to me though. Saturday, Derek got Gavin up while I slept, and got him all ready and they had a guy's day! He took him out to our office so he could unload some work materials. And Gavin visited w/his Granny. Then they spent most of the day w/Derek's friend Herm & his family. He said Gavin was an angel alll day long for them. When I got home, this is what I saw...

They must have had a very long day b/c all my boys were pooped! Yes Sammy included ;)

While the boys were enjoying their day together, this Mommy went SHOPPING!! It was a very bittersweat day for me.

I was on a mission to buy some pants or capris. I tried on every single pair in Dillards-swear! Did not walk out with one pair. I did manage to get some shorts though(which I'll probably never have the courage to wear in public). It took so much in me not to get depressed over my new size.

Since I didn't find any there in my new size(2 sizes bigger than pre-Gavin) I went to my trusted store of choice that I always find something at...The Buckle! I didn't want to spend $100+ on a pair of jeans I'm hoping don't fit for long, but I need clothes!! So I bought a couple, and am very excited to be getting them this week. They had to be hemmed but should be in the mail today!

I don't know about ya'll, but a good pair of jeans always make me feel better! I've always been so picky and it's always been difficult to find a pair that fit me right since I'm so petite, but I know I can always trust The Buckle :) I don't usually even try to find jeans anywhere else anymore, but I had a Dillard's gift card to use.

Afterwards, I went to Victoria's Secret, b/c every new mom deserves pretty panties and bras considering all the changes they go through! Luckily, it was the semi-annual sale & I stocked up!

I can't believe it's taken this long to actually go shopping for longer than 30 minutes, but Gavin likes to keep me busy ;)

Oh did I mention that I was suffering from a stomach virus all weekend? Yea, it didn't stop me. I had the whole day to myself, and I was taking full advantage!!! I almost didn't make it through the grocery store afterwards b/c the smell of food was nauseating, but I managed!

Afterwards, My dad was getting recognized at a work event and we surprised him. He was so happy to see us. Again, there were not ANY pictures of my weekend. I just wasn't in the mood to take pictures. Derek, Gavin & I had planned on having family night and go eat, but since I wasn't feeling good, I knew it would be boring, so we agreed to go eat with my parents. At least Derek could enjoy someone's company and eat a good meal instead of dealing with my sickly self!

It was a pretty nice weekend though and Sunday we enjoyed the day together before he went back to Arkansas for work.

My girls came over last night to discuss my friend Mindy's upcoming baby shower next month that I'm planning. I'm so excited b/c it's in a really cute location and she has a very pretty theme. That will have to be another post though!

Looks like I have to get back to work. Hope I can catch up again soon!
