I had quite the interesting weekend!
Friday night the hubs came home and we just hung out and spent time together.(I think, I can't remember). Saturday was our fun filled day of childbirth class. *insert sarcasm*
We chose to do the one day course at the hospital I'm delivering at due to D's schedule and from what I understood, they were covering every base from birth to breastfeeding to newborn care. EHH-wrong!
It was in a classroom w/chairs, about 10 other couples & w/the lights out so we could watch 1980's projector videos. Now, I have no doubt that it was a very informative class, to the other couples, but not us. I've been so on top of reading and learning about childbirth & pregnancy from my "What to Expect When You're Expecting" book, that other than the tour of the hospital, I didn't learn anything. I was really bummed out. We didn't do floor exercises or anything & we didn't learn a thing about newborn care. I blame myself, b/c obviously I signed us up for the wrong class. We sat there for 8 hours!!!
Oh, what I did learn is that I'm going to have a big baby. We all introduced ourselves & said due dates & such. I was one of the later ones yet also had the bigger belly of everyone due even before me! There may have been one girl bigger than me but I think she's due like-now!
I had to laugh at how much bigger I was b/c I was also the shortest, most petite yet my hubby was the biggest in the room. We're an oddly sized couple. It's ok, I guess I'm having a big baba! With D's big head! LOL. I was thinking I was too big at first, but my vertically challenged mom put it into perspective for me. Size does matter :) Height & weight that is ;)
Yesterday was the big day we were going to paint the nursery. Now I'll try to make this story short but it's confusing. Derek works out of town & left his truck at the job site 4 hrs away w/an employee of ours. He got a call Sunday right before our friends Cody & Kelli came over to help paint, that his work truck was found stuck in a ditch on the side of the road. There was also a tractor that looked wrecked & a bunch of job supplies scattered on the road. Can I just say I've never seen Derek this mad in my life? The employee got drunk, drove D's truck. Got it stuck, Got the tractor to get it out(twice) & wrecked the tractor. Yikes right? My husband doesn't get mad but you do NOT want to mess w/him if he does. He's big ;)
SOO.....he was so upset b/c he wanted to paint the nursery & watch the super bowl and he really felt like he was letting us down, but he had to leave to go take care of it all-4 hours away. I'm so thankful we have friends like we do b/c Cody & Kelli stayed anyways and painted it for us :) Awesome, right?(Love you guys) Derek has some touching up to do since I can't get on a ladder but it's done for the most part! It's YELLOW too! I'm really hoping the color tones down once we get everything in there.
I managed to watch most of the superbowl but D missed it. By the time everything was said and done, he got home at 2:30 this morning, only to turn around and head to work in Oklahoma. Sounds like he got my bad luck huh?

Girl- Bryson was 8'13... my BIG boy... he is now one of the smallest in his grade. And some might be scared to give birth to a large baby... don't be. He was my easiest delivery in every way.
Brenna was 6'5 and Bentley was 5'8.. I was very blessed to have 3 fast, easy, and almost painless deliveries but out of the 3 Bryson was the the easiest.
Can't wait for you to experience it all!!! So amazing!!!
Oh my goodness, the poor hubby….but thank goodness for wonderful friends!!
And what kind of class is that? You so could have saved your money. Did it costs anything?
