Monday update

I had a MUCH needed weekend after last week from Hell!

It was getting worse and worse & Thank God my hubby came home to cheer me up (and b/c it was raining).My dog Dee Dee had a rough week too. It rained entirely too much.

Friday night, I wasn't up for much so we just went to eat in town & he surprised me by taking me to my fav. restaurant, Sameria Steakhouse. Now, I haven't been able to eat chinese at all but this is Japanese & way better! Not to mention romantic & relaxing. Just what I needed!

Saturday, I couldn't sit still while my hubby was hanging out with the guys, so I went shopping! I got my paint for the nursery too. I hope it turns out good. I picked it on the spot & that's never a good thing with me b/c the lighting is SO different!

Then, for our friend Cody's birthday, we drove to a near by city to have dinner at this place called BJ's. It's a Brewhouse, but it's mostly a restaurant & has a great atmosphere.

Then afterwards, we went to a birthday party for our friend Amber. It was a Western themed, but my clothing options are slim, so I didn't get to dress up. We didn't stay long b/c obviously there was alcohol & smoke & I can't handle that :) Plus, by then I was exhausted!!

Sunday, I had planned on going to my parents' to work on my art stuff for the nursery, but my parents & aunt came to my house instead. My dad is Mr. Fix-it & wanted to patch the cracks in the walls from the house shifting before we painted the nursery. Derek hadn't done it so my dad offered to have a teaching lesson. So cute! My mom was so great & brought me over TONS of food she cooked. I was so excited. I cook a lot but it's never as good as hers! Hmm, I wonder if she's gonna do that when Gavin gets here?;)

We brainstormed forever about the art & came up with a few really good ideas. She took the fabric stuff home to do that herself & I've got lots of painting to do. I drew a bunch of pictures but they all have to be painted. I can't wait to start. And to show you all how it turns out!

After they left, we relaxed & watched the Pro Bowl & the Grammy's. Did anyone else watch it? D & I both actually really enjoyed it this year. I still think Album of the year should have gone to Beyonce, but whatev!

So hopefully this will be a much better week! I hope everyone else's is!
