Another week passed by, but this time with some changes!
I learned I was having Braxon Hicks Contractions. I just realized what they were while reading ahead in my "What to Expect" book yesterday. I just thought he was curling up in a really tight ball or something. I also learned that going to the chiropractor is not going to help me. I went a few times last week & the Dr. informed me that my back is so badly jammed, I'd have to come every day. And to be honest, I don't want to spend the $$ to be so sore at night that I can barely move. Plus, I thought I'd give Derek a break from back rubbing this week. He was having to do it every day!
Another change is that my upset stomach & fatigue are coming back. I shouldn't be this tired after 6 to 7 hrs of sleep, but I definitely am & I'm dragging along!
I have a dr. appt this afternoon for my glucose test. I hope I get good news b/c I struggled a little with my blood sugar before I became pregnant, and I'm just praying I didn't form diabetes. Although my levels were always very low, so I don't know how that all works. I probably won't come out with any answers today either b/c my dr. will not be in and I have to see a nurse practitioner.
I ordered a piece of the baby bedding and got it in the mail yesterday. It is so cute & I cannot wait to do the whole room. I've had a difficult time getting started b/c I needed a color to base it off of & my bedding is online only. But, after my appt today I'm going to go pick some paint samples up & possibly choose some bedding for the full size bed we are leaving in there. I may ask you for your advice in this if I can't make up my mind.
How Far Along: 26 weeks
Total Weight Gained:A lot! I think I may take this question out b/c I can't keep up since my scale is off.
Maternity Clothes: Yep!
Sleep: No. None. Zilch. Ugh!
Best Moment of the Week:Seeing my Godson & hanging out with friends this weekend, watching the Cowboys win their 1st playoff game since '96, & seeing my bestie Jenn for her b-day.
Movement: All the time!!
Food Craving: Italian food, I really wish I could eat spaghetti every single day, but D wouldn't like that.
Food aversions: Chinese
Morning sickness: no but my nausea is slowly making it's way back.
Gender: It's a boy! Gavin Lee!
Belly Button: Derek's favorite thing to do to me is come up & go "Boop-Boop" while pushing in my belly button. He calls it my reset button when he wants to put me in a good mood, so he can push it & "reset" me.
What I miss: sleep!!!
What I look forward to: Starting on the baby's room.
Milestones: His eyes are opening this week.
