I work out in the country and am so blessed to be able to see a wide wariety of animals every day I'm there. Last summer, my father in law found a baby deer & rescued it. It had to be bottle fed several times a day and very closely watched. Since I'm the only one there, I basically adopted him. My father in law named him Fred. He is such a coversation starter when someone brings up my "pet deer." We've watched him grow so much & it's amazing! He knows his name so when my father in law, Brian, calls him he comes running from out of the woods. I used to drive a truck & every day he would hear me driving up to work, he came running to get a bottle.
I don't get as close to him anymore b/c he's slowly getting horns and will become dangerous. But you can't help but love this face when you see him. In order for me to stay sane working by myself, I take long walks down the gravel road every day. He's almost always following me so he can get his own excercise! Here are just a few pics below that I took.
Right after he was rescued.
He LOVES to give kisses. He licks my clothes all the time!
We put a collar on him for hunting season so noone would shoot him.
Yes, he's inside. And giving Derek's little sister kisses on Christmas.
Our shadow. It was cold so I'm bundled up here :)
Following behind me for our daily walk.

Thanks love! It's a really sad situation. We can either meet up and do it or you can mail me the money and I will enter your name in it for however much you send. Either way is fine! I would personally like to meet up since it has been FOREVER! We need to have a date! I miss you girl & glad to hear you are doing good! xoxo
